About Our Business

In the 1960’s, Kent Jamison worked his way through Brigham Young University working in
architectural offices. After graduation, he moved to Golden, Colorado to design the Douglas
Mountain Ranch Project. When that project was complete he moved back to his native Southern
California.

There he worked for several notable architectural firms including B.A. Berkus Associates. In
1974 he obtained his California General Contractors License and started the design/build
partnership of Jamison – Abel Design & Construction Inc. For the next 20 years Kent and Bill
Abel designed and built over 100 projects from remodels and additions to multi-million dollar
estates in the La Canada, Glendale area.

In 1994 Kent moved to St. George, Utah and continued his design/build business. Today you
can visit the many examples of his unique homes in Utah, Nevada and California.
